President Director of MNC Sekuritas, Susy Meilina, explained that the growth of Indonesian capital market investors during this physical distancing period was supported by the availability of digital products and services, so that people did not need to go to branch offices or submit physical documents.

“Currently, MNC Sekuritas provides various digital products, starting from the MNC Trade & MNC Trade Syariah online trading application, MNC Virtual Trading, a stock learning service for beginners, MNC StockRadars stock-screening application, MNC Philanthropy for waqf, tithe, and giving stocks, as well as the latest MNC Research to access economic news and stock recommendations periodically from the MNC Sekuritas research team, ” said Susy.

On the other hand, the Indonesia Stock Exchange is also active in utilizing technology for educational activities and market development. The President Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Inarno Djajadi, also expressed his support for MNC Sekuritas regarding their efforts to develop the capital market.

“The Indonesia Stock Exchange greatly appreciates MNC Sekuritas’ active participation in efforts to increase Indonesian Capital Market literacy, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic,” said Inarno.

In line with Inarno, Indonesia Stock Exchange Commissioner Pandu Patria Sjahrir who was the sole speaker of the Inspiration Talk, addressed the importance of literacy regarding the capital market to continue to develop investment potential, especially from retail investors.

“Capital market investors grew by about 20 percent compared to last year, but when compared to Indonesia’s population, the number of our investors is still very small; less than 2 percent, or around 3.1 million compared to Indonesia’s 270 million population. This is where all parties play an important role in contributing within their respective capacities in providing good education to the public regarding the Indonesian capital market, “said Pandu.
