JAKARTA – Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, MNC Group held the MNC Fest 2019 event at Pintu Timur GBK Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (3/11/2019). Not just an ordinary celebration, MNC Fest also invited thousands of participants in a greening movement by planting trees as a form of caring and preservation for the environment.
The tree-planting was initiated by MNC Group Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo, MNC Group Chairwoman Liliana Tanoesoedibjo, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Managing Director of the Bung Karno Complex, GBK, Winarto.
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said, this movement is one way to overcome air pollution in the city of Jakarta, which is to plant more trees in Jakarta.
“When we talk about Jakarta, one of the challenges in the city of Jakarta is to have better air quality. Therefore we encourage to reduce activities that produce emissions, and then plant more trees,” said Anies.
At the event, thousands of MNC Fest participants who came were also given tree seeds to be planted. This is an effort to overcome the problem of pollution in the city of Jakarta.
“We prepared 10,000 trees to be planted together because this is one of the problems we are facing right now. This activity is also a form of a contribution to the country, especially in Jakarta, “said MNC Fest Chairwoman Jessica Tanoesoedibjo during a press conference prior to this event.
